Introduction

"Some things I have forgot that I forget," wrote Edward Thomas prefiguring that former Secretary of Defence whom we all love to quote now in our post-ironic, Gangnam Style style.

Anyway, reading that passage by Thomas this morning reminded that I was meant to write an introduction to this latest "volume" of Forget.

But here's Thomas again: "There are so many things I have forgot / That once were much to me, or were not." The sentimental proto-post-ironist. I bet he heard that mewling cat in the radiator of the internet.

Obviously, if it hurtles raw and alone...
