Wellbeing
By Kevin Connolly
Why have all the windows darkened?
We were stone sold, ready with our syllogisms,
Whatever that means, besides be well and be sure
We mean it; line things up, linger, dodge, diversify,
Wander into some dull cadge you might call
Wonder, and so it goes, and so it goes …
Whelp when you have to, wander like all of us,
Wonder lonely, weep if you’ve got ’em, but chill out:
We want you wise to this, need you healthy,
Whether it rains or delves or walks over the
Weather in the drains, smoking out our best selves.
Why have all the windows darkened, why
Have all the doors been sharpened? Because
You welled and wondered? Wound things up?
Kevin Connolly: up from the water, oil, gas and brine.
